Kari's journey with Petals + Perks started back in May of 2009 when she came on staff as a part-time associate during her time in college at NWC, where she was pursuing an Elementary Education degree. After graduation, she fell in love with the work she was doing at P+P and decided to pursue that avenue full-time in May of 2013. After taking over more responsibilities in a full-time role, and getting married to Forrestal in 2019, Forrestal and Kari decided to purchase the business in January 2021 and the rest is history.
Business ownership was never something that Kari saw herself doing but it has been such a fun and unexpected life path and God definitely orchestrated the steps to get where we are today! Kari and Forrestal live in Sioux Center with their 3 dogs- Lily, Drax, and Eva who keep them on their toes and provide such joy in their lives. When Kari is not at the shop, she enjoys spending time with friends, going thrifting/antiquing, baking, and decorating her own home. We have been blessed to be a part of such an amazing community and look forward to many years here serving the community and bringing some joy to people's lives through floral, home decor, and coffee!
